O2 cutting iPad data allowance on the sly

18Sep10

We’re see this more and more, telcos changing contracts to the detriment of the consumer and trying to spin their way out of it.

Hot on the heels of dropping their “unlimited” data allowance to 500MB on iPhone contracts, O2 have have dropped their 3GB/Month contract to 2GB/Month and 500GB/Dayto 200GB/Day.

The real problem is that they’ve merely put this up on their website and not notified those people with the rolling monthly tariff.  As it’s a one month tariff they can legally do this, but as usual they are being less than transparent to customers on what they’re doing and why.
