Searching in Android Market promises not to suck anymore

09Jun10

It’s always baffled me why searching in the Android Market is nowhere near as good as a Google search.

There is no spelling correction, there is no fuzzy searching of terms.  You either type in the name precisely or you use Androlib and the Barcode Scanner if you want an easy life.

It sounds like Google have been listening to complaints though as Froyo/Android 2.2 users are reporting that their Nexus Ones are correcting or finding similar search terms when they misspell app names.
