uTorrent is coming to Linux (finally)

I love uTorrent (pronounced “mew” torrent after the Greek letter). It’s a lightweight and very popular torrent downloader that also comes in portable versions if you want to run it off a USB disk. The memory footprint and resource usage seem a lot better than other torrent apps I’ve tried such as Azureus/Vuze.

The developers have confirmed that they’re bringing the currently Windows and Mac only software to Linux finally.

There isn’t a date set for release yet but it’s nice to know it’s being worked on.

Give it a try if you’re on the other two platforms.
